Below you will find a partial list of my current certifications. Each one requires focused study of that particular system of the home.
Your Home Inspection
  1. Exterior
All exterior systems of the home will be inspected for proper installation, function, and condition. Any defects will be photographed and reported. Exterior systems can include; roofing, chimneys, driveways, sidewalks, porches and verandas, site drainage, gutters, siding, windows and doors, and more!
  2. Interior
The interior of the home is a very complex area with many different systems working together to create a comfortable living environment. I will inspect all appliances for operation, bathroom fixtures, outlets, and heating elements. Cracks in walls and flooring can give hints as to other areas needing inspection.
  3. Electrical
Electrical systems are some of the most overlooked, and "tinkered" with parts of a home. Most homeowners do not pay attention to electrical until something goes wrong. I will thoroughly inspect the electrical system from the service line into the home, to the receptacles.
  4. Plumbing
The plumbing system controls the biggest threat to a home, water. Water can destroy a home from the inside out. Each fixture, trap, vent, and supply will be inspected for functionality and sings of water leakage.
  5. Safety
Having been a First Responder, safety is the most important thing to me. I will inspect your home as if my 2 year old and newborn will be moving in the next day. EVERY safety defect will be photographed and reported. I want you to enjoy your new home without worry of injury.
  6. Attics and Crawlspaces
Attics and Crawlspaces house the "guts" of the home. They are also the most common areas for defects to occur. I have no problem getting dirty to inspect these areas. Proper inspection of an attic or crawlspace assists in the inspection of other home systems.
  7. Heating and Cooling
All heating and cooling systems will be inspected for proper air return and distribution. Filters, registers, burners, condensers, fuel lines, and exhaust are all parts of the heating and cooling system that must function together to create a comfortable conditioned living space.
  8. Detached Structures
Barns, sheds, and garages include most systems found in a home. For a small fee I will include any detached structure in my inspection.
